Seminar Overview
This 3-day Brainspotting Specialty Workshop provides Brainspotting professionals with an in-depth opportunity to explore the integration of Parts Work within the Neuroexperiential Model of Brainspotting. Through didactic discussions, live demonstrations, and experiential practicums, participants will cultivate a deeper understanding of how to work with internal parts while leveraging the transformative principles of Brainspotting.
The workshop emphasizes the following:
- Defining and integrating the Uncertainty Principle and The Neuroexperiential Model of Brainspotting into Parts Work, focusing on mindfully receiving, shaping, and holding the frame with clients.
- Utilizing the Dual Attunement Frame and following the Tail of the Comet to attune to what is arising and emerging in the client's process, supporting organic and sustainable healing.
- Introducing new resources or insights in alignment with the client’s system to facilitate the release of entrenched neurophysiological patterns.
Participants will explore how early life experiences leave lasting imprints on neurophysiology, shaping beliefs, behaviors, that may lead to the development of parts. They will learn to identify and map internal parts, fostering nurturing and repair processes.
Special emphasis will also be placed on:
- Developing awareness of Limbic Countertransference and its role in therapist self-care and client transformation.
- Strengthening positive neurophysiological imprints through resource-building and post-traumatic growth practices.
- Cultivating daily practices that train the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing clients and practitioners to embody sustainable joyful experiences.
This workshop welcomes all approaches to Parts Work and emphasizes the open, integrative, and free-form nature of Brainspotting to enhance therapeutic presence. Participants will leave with tools to confidently integrate Parts Work into their practice and facilitate profound client transformation.
Eligibility: Completion of Brainspotting Phase 1 is required; Phase 2 is strongly recommended.
