Seminar Overview

This 3-day Brainspotting Specialty Workshop is an opportunity for Brainspotting professionals to deepen their knowledge and have personal experiences with understanding and applying how to integrate parts work within the Neuroexperiential Model of Brainspotting. This workshop will be taught through didactic discussions, demonstrations, and practicums.

Process will include: Focusing on the transformative journey from trauma to liberation. We will explore how early life experiences on neurophysiology leaving lasting imprints that shape our beliefs, behaviors and the development of parts. Practitioners will learn to identify and map internal parts for effective processing, and apply Brainspotting and Parts approaches to provide additional resources for healing. Practitioners will also develop the awareness of Limbic Countertransference and its relevance to therapists self-care and client's healing. A special focus will be on strengthen internal resources with positive Limbic imprinting practices, fostering posttraumatic growth. Additionally, practitioners will go home with daily practices for themselves and their clients to train the parasympathetic nervous system, cultivating the ability to embody, sustainable joyful experiences. All approaches to working with parts and knowledge are welcome.

This 3-day Brainspotting Specialty Workshop will begin with a review of the Neuroexperiential Model of Brainspotting and how this will be applied to Parts Work with a focus on the use of the Uncertainty Principle, Attunement and working within the Brainspotting Frame. All attendees will explore what it means to be working with parts implicitly or explicitly. The teaching opportunities are designed to make available the open, integrative, free-form approach of Brainspotting to enhance therapist’s attuned presence and support clinicians in integrating parts work within a Brainspotting Frame. In order to attend this workshop it is required that you have attended Brainspotting Phase 1 and recommend Brainspotting Phase 2.

Seminar Objectives

Through lecture, live demonstration and small group practice participants will learn to do the following:

  • Explore the imprint of early life experiences on our neurophysiology, its impacts on beliefs, behaviors, and development of parts.
  • Identify and access internal parts for processing by mapping parts.
  • Assess and apply explicit approaches through The Neuroexperiential Model of Brainspotting to Parts Work when the client's system needs additional resources for repair.
  • Develop therapist awareness of Limbic Countertransference and its relevance to therapists self-care and client healing. Learn to skillfully integrate this awareness with Parts Work during sessions to deepen therapeutic engagement and facilitate profound client transformation.
  • Apply embodying a positive imprinting practices to the central nervous system for strengthening positive neurophysiology to foster flourishing and post-traumatic growth.
  • Learn daily practices to train the parasympathetic nervous system to cultivate sustainable joyful experiences.

Registration begins at 8:30 am on the first day.
