Seminar Overview
This 3-day Brainspotting Advanced Seminar is an opportunity for Brainspotting professionals to deepen their knowledge and have personal experiences with understanding and applying how to integrate parts work within a Brainspotting Frame. This seminar will be taught through didactic discussions, demonstrations, and practicums. Process will include: Focusing on specific parts of the client within the Brainspotting Frame, as well as identifying, tracking and learning to dialogue with parts of self, while working on a Brainspot. . Additional focus will also be given to the therapist's own parts and identifying the potential for Limbic-countertransference. This is an inclusive training. There are many models of working with parts. All styles of working with parts and knowledge are welcome.
This 3-day training will begin with an extensive review of Brainspotting Theory as it applies to the use of the Uncertainty Principle, Attunement and working within the Brainspotting Frame. All attendees will explore what it means to be working with parts implicitly or explicitly. The teaching opportunities are designed to make available the open, integrative, free-form approach of Brainspotting to enhance therapist’s presence and support clinicians in integrating parts work within a Brainspotting Frame. In order to attend this training we are requiring that you have taken Brainspotting Phase 1.
Seminar Objectives
Through lecture, live demonstration and small group practice participants will learn to do the following:
- Demonstrate ability to identify, track, and attune to client’s parts while using the Uncertainty Principle within a Brainspotting Frame.
- Identify and understand tracking of physiological reactions of the client.
- Distinguish when to use implicit vs. explicit parts work.
- Evaluate affect tolerance and Limbic countertransference through attunement with client and self.
- Apply, practice, and integrate interventions with parts when needed within a Brainspotting Frame.
Schedule
Registration begins at 8:30 am on the first day.
Training runs from 9 am - 5:30 CENTRAL STANDARD TIME each day.

Cherie Lindberg, is the owner of Cherie Lindberg LLC, has been in the counseling field for more than 20 years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, Brainspotting Trainer & Consultant. She is also certified in Imago Relationship Therapy and trained in EMDR. Cherie recently transition from counseling to coaching healers on thriving, flourishing, and leading a joyful life. Her specialties include performance enhancement, life transitions, personal growth coaching, relationship coaching, stress management, posttraumatic growth.

Brainspotting Trainer & Consultant, LCSW
Cynthia Schwartzberg, LCSW, owner of Cynthasis, has been in the counseling field for over 30 years and in Brainspotting since its inception. She specializes in trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, life patterns and transitions, performance enhancement, and spiritual guidance. She practices psychotherapy in Atlanta GA, and is President of the Southeast Brainspotting Institute.
